Tim Hackemack's "Yesterday's Kids"

Ralf aka Ralle aus Berlin hat mir schon vor längerem von einem Projekt erzählt bei dem er mitwirken darf.

Der Fotograf Tim Hackemack porträtiert 77 Personen/Punks. Punks, die alle die 40 überschritten haben. Unterschiedliche Personen, die viel oder gar nichts verbindet und die doch eine gemeinsame Geschichte erzählen. Die Protagonist_innen konnten sich die Locations selbst aussuchen und eigene Ideen einbringen. Auch an der Auswahl der Bilder waren sie beteiligt.

Dass Ralf in dem Buch vorkommt, ist meiner Meinung nach fast schon zwingend notwendig. Denn wenn es eine Person gibt die Punk lebt, dann ist es er. 

Vielleicht sah es Hackemack genauso und hat ihn deshalb auch auf dem Cover abgebildet.

Ich finde die Idee wirklich gut und freue mich sehr, dass Hackemack sein Projekt vollendet hat.

Poli Correia ist Sänger von "Devil in me" und von "Sam Alone & the Gravediggers". Die neue D.I.M. Platte "Soul Rebel" ist ein Mega Knaller geworden und nachdem die letzte Scheibe von Sam Alone schon richtig gut war, bin ich schon sehr gespannt auf das neue Release "Tougher Than Leather"

Grund genug dem jungen Mann mal ein paar Fragen zu stellen. Ultra netter und unkomplizierter Typ! 

Hello Poli, how are you?

Sup man?

You are very busy with your music right now. Your two Bands “Devil In Me” and “Sam Alone” released new Albums this year. How does it work?

All good,yeah its been kinda crazy,but zero problems so far!

The way it goes is like this,Pedro takes care of D.I.Ms stuff and i take care of my "own",we're best friends for such a long time,and band mates for the same amount,so we know whats up and how to handle "work",at least,i like to think so.

I guess its all a matter of "will" and passion,and we come from a place were,that is the fundamental key to carro on!!

Do you have some more musical projects?

Yes!!
Music is fun,and its my number one drug,pretty much a addict!!
I've always had side-projects,and always loved to play with different People,it helps you out a lot on the evolving aspect of writting,dont like to limit myself as a musician and human being!!
That been said,the only side project i have know,and want to keep going on with, is CORREIA,and thats me and my blood brother Mike,you should check it out we already have 2 vídeos out!!

What are you doing besides of the music? 

I've been tattooing for 15 years,i run a shop in the south of Portugal called Iron Skull,started when i was 17,i thank tattoos everyday,if it wasnt for them i would never had money to record my songs,i guess thats starting to pay off..ahah!

 

You are a father. How do you balance your career with being a dad?

Well....it aint that hard,not easy though,Maria is 7 now and will turned 8 April 6,i will be on tour,i think i will be in Hamburg that day,and thats the hard part,now and then we miss something important,gotta Learn how to deal with and once you've back home,give all i've got!!My baby Girl means the world to me,and she's always on my mind 24/7!!

How did becoming a father change your life?

I will be honest with you,it only opened way more my perspectives and vision towards the world!!
I come to realized,that i finally got a chance to start changing the world,and by that i dont mean,that i will save it,but it all starts with education,raising a human being is a beautiful thing,it all starts when we are Kids, and it up to parents to teach and show them that..it start by racial issues and respect,by letting her know,thats she is just as special as the next(even knowing thats she is "my" special one)but hope that she will grow up with a positive mind,and not giving to fucks about Flags or any sort of tradicional closed and minded,so yeah,being a father did changed my life..in a real good and powerfull way!

What is your favorite Spot in Lisboa for hanging out with your kid?

Im not for Lisbon,im from the south(Algarve),Quarteira,thats a small fishermen town!!
We have a lot of beaches and also country side,its pretty laid back down here..i do love Lisbon,but i was raised as a small town boy!!

ADIDAS SPZL SS16

Die neue Adidas SPZL Frühling/Sommer Kollektion von Gary Aspden orientiert sich stark am Lebensgefühl und der Leichtigkeit der französischen Riviera. 

Erscheinen wird die Kollektion am 19.März und es wird wohl nicht lange dauern, bis die Sachen wieder ausverkauft sind. 

Die Preise sind aber leider wieder relativ hoch. So zahlt man z.B. für die Tasche 135 Euro. Die T-Shirts liegen wohl bei 45 Euro, die Schuhe im Schnitt bei 125 Euro und eine Trainingsjacke liegt dann schon mal bei 180 Euro.

Schön anzusehen, aber leider zu teuer für meinen Geschmack.

Air Max Day

Pünktlich zum Air Max Day kommt Nike mit nem Knaller! Man kann auf der Nike Seite für sein Lieblingsmodell voten und der Schuh mit den meisten Stimmen wird wieder aufgelegt. Ich bin begeistert von der Idee und hab mein Kreuzchen natürlich schon gemacht.

Brian Fallon - A Wonderful Life

Brian Fallon's erster Ausflug auf Solopfaden war ja gelinde gesagt furchtbar. The Horrible Crows machten ihrem Namen alle Ehre. Das tat echt weh beim zuhören! 

Ich frag mich ja echt immer wie so etwas sein kann. Wie kann man mit seiner Hauptband einen Hit nach dem anderen schreiben und Solo geht es dann total in die Hosen. 

Jetzt probiert es Fallon nochmal und ich muss sagen, dass die Songs die man bis jetzt hören kann mir echt gefallen. Es ist zwar alles sehr Bruce Springsteen lastig aber dass muss ja nicht unbedingt schlecht sein!

 

Am Freitag erscheint das Album "A Wonderful Life". Den Titeltrack und "Nobody Wins"kann man sich auf alle Fälle schon mal anhören. Ich bin gespannt auf den Rest!

Dave Williams kommt aus Liverpool, ist Grafikdesigner und ist  Fan der Reds. 
Während der Saison 2013/14 kam er auf die Idee für jedes Spiel seiner Reds eine Postkarte zu entwerfen. Ein Mann, ein Wort und hier ist das Ergebnis:

Clark's Desert Boots

Der Desert Boot von Clark's ist ein Klassiker! Eigentlich sollte jeder ein Paar sein Eigen nennen. Er ist einer dieser zeitlosen Schuhe der nie aus der Mode kommt und der auch immer eine gute Figur macht. 

Neben dem Wallabee ist es mein Lieblingsmodel aus dem Hause Clarks.

Jetzt wird der Gute 65 Jahre alt und Clarks hat sich aus diesem Grund wieder mit „6876“ aus Italien zusammengetan. Herausgekommen ist ein sehr gelungenes in Handarbeit produziertes und auf 600 Stück limitiertes Sondermodell.

Ich finde das Model sehr gelungen und kann Euch nur mal die Videos ans Herz legen. Made in England!
